How do I delete roles and permissions in Maxem Energy Cloud?
To be able to manage roles the user should have the ‘Administrator’ role. Without this role the user won’t be able to see the roles (unless they have the permission to update user roles), update or delete roles.
Deleting Roles
To delete a role you have to navigate to the ‘roles’ screen and find the role you would like to delete. When you press on the row of the role a modal should open and a delete button should be present. To be able to delete a role you’ll need to make sure that no users have this role anymore. This could be seen from the ‘roles’ screen in the users column (the count should be 0). Or by checking the ‘Users’ tab in the role modal. If you press the delete button (the red button with a trash icon) a dialog should open. If the role still has users you’ll see text notifying you that you can’t delete this role yet. If the role has no users you can delete it by pressing the ‘delete’ button. If all went well you should be back at the ‘roles’ screen and a green success pop-up appeared letting you know it was removed successfully. If something went wrong for whatever reason you should see a red error pop-up letting you know it didn’t remove the role and should still be in the deletion dialog. If the role was protected you’ll also see a blue info pop-up letting you know you can’t delete a protected role.
