How do I configure a Phoenix Contact EEM-MA371 kWh meter for the energy controller?

This manual is designed for installers with experience using this meter. Maxem uses the energy controller and the Energy Cloud to read the kWh meter and receive readings from, for example, the main connection to this kWh meter.

Installation Preparation

Proper preparation is essential for a smooth installation. Carefully follow the guidelines below to ensure the installation and configuration process runs without issues.
A small flat-head or Phillips screwdriver is required for installation.

Without proper configuration of the Phoenix Contact EEM-MA371 kWh meter, Maxem cannot perform Dynamic Load Management (DLM) if this kWh meter is measuring the main connection.

Requirements

Before you can configure the Phoenix Contact EEM-MA371 kWh meter, the following conditions must be met:

  • The kWh meter has been physically installed correctly.

  • The Maxem Energy Controller has been successfully installed and is operational.

Only when both components are fully functional can the kWh meter be configured for communication with the Maxem Energy Controller.
