Product Update & Release notes – December 2025

This month’s updates focus on making schedules easier to manage, improving visibility of site capacity, and increasing overall stability and performance.

What’s new for site owners & operators

Location Manager – Telemetry Sharing

Maxem can now share real‑time telemetry data (such as power usage and asset status) with your connected energy management system. Better coordination between Maxem and other systems on your site, helping to avoid overloading and enabling smarter capacity management.

  • Maxem made telemetry more consistent and easier to consume by other services.
  • Telemetry from your chargers and other assets can be shared with external, connected endpoints.
  • This helps manage capacity on the site, for example by sending a set point to increase or decrease capacity.

Platform & stability improvements

Load Balancing - Safer Configuration

Safer and more robust behavior of the load‑balancing logic, reducing the chance of configuration‑related problems.

  • The system now automatically respects both the controller maximum and fuse limits when calculating load. This prevents certain misconfigurations that could previously cause issues.

Platform

  • Fewer timeouts and more stable communication within the platform, which translates to more reliable behaviour for end users.

Flex Schedules – Schedule Reliability & Performance

We made several improvements to the Flex service around schedules.

  • Bug fix: Schedules now close more reliably, preventing lingering or “ghost” schedules which stayed open while it should have closed.
  • Performance Improvements: Faster and more scalable schedule handling, especially on larger sites.

Coming up soon

Manage Schedules per Group - Not yet released

More precise and clearer control over when specific groups can charge or operate. We are adding a Group ID field to the Manage Schedules screen.

  • What this means:

    • You can soon create and run schedules per group of chargers or assets, instead of only at a whole‑location level.
    • This helps you better match schedules to how your site is actually organized (for example: “Visitor parking”, “Fleet”, “Staff parking”).
    • Group selection for schedules: When creating a new schedule, you can select a group, which aligns with the new group‑based scheduling behaviour.
  • We’re also improving how schedules are shown in the interface to make them easier to understand at a glance.
