How do I add and/or manage a location in Maxem Energy Cloud?

All assets belonging to you and your clients are linked to specific locations. You can access this section by clicking on Locations in the sidebar menu

To add a location you first need the create an organization for your client. To learn how to add an organization go to the ‘Managing organizations’ section.

Add a location

To add a new location, you click on the button ‘Add Location’ in the top right corner in this section. Once clicked the add location flow will open in an overlay. The flow takes you along 3 steps to add the location, the steps are:

  1. Location details: like the name of the location and the address;

  2. Access settings: select who can access the assets at this location;

  3. Tariff settings: which can be inherited from the organization or customized for this location as you like.

Once all the needed information is provided, the location is added to Maxem Energy Cloud when you click on the button ‘Add location’. Once clicked you will be taken back to the overview and when the location is successfully added to the database you will get a notification in the bottom left of your screen.

Edit a location

If you want to edit a location, you can click on the ‘pen’ icon in the right bottom corner of the location you would like to edit. Once you click on the icon an overlay will open with the details of the location. The overlay has a couple of tabs.

On these tabs, located at the top of the overlay, you are able to edit the details of the location you wish to edit. To edit the information on a tab, you have to click on the ‘pen’ icon on the top left side of the tab. Once clicked the input fields are enabled and allow you to edit the details.

  • Access mode: on this tab the way users can access the assets at this location is displayed.

  • Tariffs: on this tab the tariff settings for AC and DC charging are being displayed. The tariffs settings can be inherited from the organization or customized for this specific location as you like;

  • Whitelist: on this tab all users that have access or are passholders are being displayed. You are also able to see who have whitelist access to a charging station.
