How do I add and/or manage a location in Maxem Energy Cloud?
All assets belonging to you and your clients are linked to specific locations. You can access this section by clicking on Locations in the sidebar menu
To add a location you need to be a partner with partner admin rights. First you need to create an organization for your client. To learn how to add an organization go to the ‘Managing organizations’ section.
Add a location
To add a new location, you click on the button ‘Add Location’ in the top right corner in this section. Once clicked the add location flow will open in an overlay. The flow takes you along 3 steps to add the location, the steps are:
-
Location details: like the name of the location and the address;
-
Access settings: select how chargecard users can access the assets (e.g. chargepoints) at this location;
-
Tariff settings: which can be inherited from the organization or customized for this location as you like.
Once all the needed information is provided, the location is added to Maxem Energy Cloud when you click on the button ‘Add location’. Once clicked you will be taken back to the overview and when the location is successfully added to the database you will get a notification in the bottom left of your screen.
Edit a location
If you want to edit a location, you can click on the ‘pen’ icon in the right bottom corner of the location tile you would like to edit. Or you can click on the location tile and then go to 'location settings' in the left menu. Once you did this an overlay will open with the details of the location. The overlay has a couple of tabs.

On these tabs, located at the top of the overlay, you are able to edit the details of the location you wish to edit. To edit the information on a tab, you have to click on the ‘pen’ icon on the top left side of the tab. Once clicked the input fields are enabled and allow you to edit the details.
- Details: These are the address details of the location. You can publish the charging stations at this location on public charging maps by checking the box under "Publish settings." Please note: once you've published a location, you cannot unpublish it yourself. The location can only be unpublished by contacting our technical support.
-
Access mode: on this tab the way chargecard users can access the assets at this location is displayed.
-
Tariffs: on this tab the tariff settings for AC and DC charging are being displayed. The tariffs settings can be inherited from the organization or customized for this specific location as you like;
-
Passes: Determine here whether the card settings should be inherited from the organization, or whether they should be designated as whitelisted cards specifically for the location. When the slider is set to Whitelist, it is active as a whitelisted charge card. You are able to determine who have whitelist access to the charging stations on this location. Please note that the access mode must be set correctly.
