# Release notes September 2026

## This month on the Maxem platform: four improvements for operators. Two follow directly from partner and client reports, conflicting charger statuses and a crashing schedule calendar.

### 1. Removing a role now ends a user's access

**When someone leaves or changes role, their access ends at once.**

#### What is new

- Users without a role can no longer sign in or manage locations. Their active sessions end too.
- A warning appears before you remove a user's last role.
- Users who have a login but no role move to a new restricted role: read-only, plus changing their own password.
- You set per user who may view, create, edit or delete organisation contact details. Contact fields are greyed out without edit rights, so saves no longer fail.

#### What it means for you

- Leavers lose access reliably: remove the role and access is gone.
- Personal contact details are only visible to colleagues who need them.
- No action needed. If you manage users, review who holds the restricted role.

*Example: a colleague leaves on Friday. You remove their role, and they cannot sign in on Monday.*

### 2. Fleet overview: one list, one clear status

**See at a glance which chargers need attention.**

#### What is new

- The asset overview shows connection, operational and socket status together. Operational status: operating normally, needs attention or has errors. Socket status: for example charging or unavailable.
- A charger that reports a fault is marked Faulted.
- Inside a location, the location column is hidden, because every asset is already in that location.

#### What it means for you

- You find problem chargers in one list instead of comparing two.
- A charger no longer shows as functional in one tab and faulted in another.
- Built after partners and clients reported this and reviewed several designs with us.

*Example: you open a location and see that one charger needs attention, without switching tabs.*

### 3. Flex schedules you can rely on

**What the calendar shows is what will run.**

#### What is new

- The schedule calendar no longer crashes when you go back to an earlier week or leave the page in Chrome.
- Manual schedules that appeared to extend without end are corrected on all affected locations.
- When a schedule run takes long and a new event arrives, the most recent change is applied consistently. This was a rare edge case.

#### What it means for you

- The calendar is where you check what will run. It now loads reliably in Chrome, and manual schedules show a true end time.
- Fewer schedules that look wrong, so fewer calls to support.

*Example: you open last week's schedule in Chrome and the calendar loads.*

### 4. Charger logs: filter on date and time

**Jump straight to the moment an issue happened.**

#### What is new

- The OCPP log, which holds the messages between charger and platform, can now be filtered on a start and end time on top of the date.

#### What it means for you

- When a session fails, you read only the minutes around it, not a full day of messages.
- You and our support team find the cause of a failed session sooner.

*Example: a session failed at 14:05. Filter 14:00 to 14:15 and read only those messages.*

### Smaller improvements

- Location tiles no longer show stray text in the image background. Images are checked before they are stored.
- The Details tab on user pages is removed. It showed billing data that was no longer used.
