How to perform a cable unlock action of a charging station?

There are two ways to disconnect a cable from the charging station:

A. Via the car itself
B. Via the platform

A. Via the car itself.
Ensure that the cable is connected to the car and the charging station. Close the car and lock it. Then unlock the car again. With many types of electric cars, the charging station receives a signal to disconnect.

B. Via the platform
Performing a cable unlock action remotely of a single or double socket charging station is only possible on AC chargers. When you have a DC charge you can perform a restart.

Unlocking the cable works as follows:

  1. Try disconnecting the cable from the car. Sometimes the cable will then also unlock on the charger's side.
  2. Log in to MEC;

  3. Navigate using the side bar to ‘Assets’;

  4. Select ‘Charging station’ as asset type using the top bar;

  5. Navigate using the search field filter to the charging station of choice;

  6. Open the charging station of choice by clicking on the charging station. A new menu opens;

  7. Navigate to the top of the page using the socket tile to ‘Actions’ for the socket for which the ‘Unlock’ needs to be performed;

  8. Select ‘Unlock’ from the drop-down list and perform the action by clicking on ‘Execute action’; If you have a DC charger choose a 'reset'.

  9. Navigate to the ‘Logging’ tab in order to see whether the action has been successfully logged and followed-up by MEC.
