How to find the logs of a charging station to investigate a malfunction remotely?

One of the key benefits of a platform that connects to the charging station is the ability to remotely monitor the status of the station. This allows you, as a partner, to investigate potential causes of a malfunction without needing to visit the location, significantly speeding up problem resolution.

Required Steps:

  1. Select the correct organization from the left menu under 'Organizations' by clicking on the tile for the organization where the charging station's status needs to be investigated. This will open the organization settings.

  2. Select the correct location from the left menu under 'Locations' by clicking on the tile for the location where the charging station's status needs to be investigated. This will open the location settings.

  3. Select the correct charging station from the left menu under 'Assets' by clicking on the row for the charging station. This will open the charging station settings.

  4. Select 'Logs' in the charging station settings menu to view all OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) messages between the charging station and Energy Cloud.

  5. Click on the row of the OCPP message to view the content of the message.

Note: Following the steps above will allow you to navigate to all charging stations that are connected to the platform at a particular location within an organization's charging site. There is also a shorter route via the search function for a specific charging station, but this will only display that particular station.
