How do I set up Plug and Charge on my charging station?

Plug & Charge is usually enabled through the manufacturer's installation or management software (and not directly through Maxem). For example with Alfen you can configure this via the charging station's web interface or the Alfen installation tool. Check there whether 'Plug & Charge' or "AutoStart" (depending on the firmware/name) can be activated. If you do not have access to these tools, ask your installer for help.

I can charge, but the charging session is not being registered. Why is that?

Go to assets and click on your charging station. Do you see under 'activity' that the card is being registered? If so, your card is on the whitelist or the access mode is set to 'open'. Do you not see your charging card under 'activity'? Then it is possible that your charging station is set to Plug & Charge.
