How do I delete/archive a charging station and cancel the subscription?
It is possible to 'archive' an asset in the Maxem Energy Cloud. After archiving an asset we will receive a notification that the subscription will be canceled. The asset subscription will be ended within the cancellation period. Please note: If you have a SIM subscription, cancellation must be handled manually by Maxem. Please contact us via finance@maxem.energy if this is the case.
Follow the next steps to archive an asset:
- Login on the Maxem Energy Cloud
- If the charging station has been added to your own organization, you can skip this step. For sub-organizations: Click on 'organizations' and choose the organization in which the asset was added.
- Click on 'locations' and choose the right location.
- Click on 'assets' and check which asset you archive
- In the list of assets you can see a 'Archive' button. Click on this button to archive the asset.

- A confirmation pop-up will appear: "Archiving asset (ID asset) is permanent and cannot be undone. Are you sure you want to continue?"

- Once confirmed, the asset will be removed from the active list. The subscription will be ending for this asset within the cancellation period.
Note: once you archive an asset, it cannot be undone and the assets needs to be onboarded again by adding it as a new asset. Only partners can add the asset again.
Filtering and search
If you want to view the archived assets again follow the next steps:
- You can open the filter settings on the top right side of the assets overview to view:
- All
- Active
- Archived - You can also filter on:
- Onboarding status
- Firmware
- Last contact
- Connection status - Click on 'add filter' to apply the filter option(s)

When you click on the archived asset you can still view data from the past:
- Transactions
- Activity
- Logs

- Why can't I archive the asset?
Archiving is only possible for pre-approved assets or regular assets with no active transactions. The charging station should not be charging. It is not possible to archive a charging station with an ongoing transaction. The button will be greyed out. If you have a SIM subscription, cancellation must be handled by a Maxem employee. Please contact us via our finance@maxem.energy if this is the case. - I want to transfer my charging station to another back office; how do I do that?
An installer can modify the OCPP URL using the charging station's installation software. Follow the instructions of the new back office provider. Do not forget to cancel your subscriptions for the charging stations.
