How do I check the charging speed of my charging station?
It is possible to check the charging speed of a charging station in the platform by viewing the configuration in the charging station.
Steps required:
Select the asset:
- Select the correct organization from the left-hand menu under "Organizations" by clicking on the tile for the organization where you want to change the charging point configuration. This will open the organization settings.
- Select the correct location from the left-hand menu under "Locations" by clicking on the tile for the location where you want to change the charging point configuration. This will open the location settings.
- Select the correct charging point from the left-hand menu under "Assets" by clicking on the row for the charging point. This will open the charging point settings.
Once in the asset: - Select 'Configuration' in the charging point settings menu to view the current configuration.
- Download the configuration by clicking the download icon
next to the charging point's settings menu. This will show the charging point's current configuration. - Press ctrl+F (windows) or CMD+F (mac) to search for 'Current' and look for one of the fields that looks like 'Max Current'
- This field is called differently for each charging station brand. For example, at Alfen it is called Station-MaxCurrent and for EVBox this is evb_MaximumStationCurrent.
- Some charging stations allow you to see the maximum current for each connector. At Alfen, for example, this is called Connector1-MaxCurrent and Connector2-MaxCurrent, etc.
- Search online for the fields (e.g., Station-MaxCurrent) and check which unit of measurement the charging station uses. For example, Alfen uses 32A, while EVbox uses 320 deciAmps.
Please note that the maximum current is not the same as the limit of Static Load Balancing or other drivers applied to the charging station.
Conversion table of charging capacity from Ampere to kW:

| 1 x 25 A | 5,8 kW |
| 1 x 32 A | 7,4 kW |
| 1 x 35 A | 6,9 kW |
| 3 x 16 A | 11,0 kW |
| 3 x 25 A |
17,2 kW |
| 3 x 32 A | 22 kW |
| 3 x 35 A | 24,2 kW |
