How can I update the Static Load Balancing configuration?
Once you’ve turned on Static Load Balancing and it running you might need to make adjustments to the configuration
To update the setup of SLB you need the following information:
-
The maximum allocated capacity for the chargers
-
Power limits for each charger and individual connector (usually preset but can be adjusted for faster charging within the defined limit).
Follow below steps to update your Static Load Balancing Configuration
Step 1: Login to the Maxem Energy Cloud
-
Log in to your Maxem Energy Cloud account using your credentials.
-
Navigate to the location homepage of the site where you want to set up SLB.
Step 2: Navigate to the services settings
-
Click on the settings menu item located in the menu drawer on the left of the page.
-
Once the location settings dialog opens you should see the “Services” tab.
-
Here you will find the tile for the SLB service with the toggle ON.
Step 3: Adjust your configuration
-
Click on the “Edit configuration” button that’s located within the service tile
-
You will be redirected to the “Edit SLB configuration” flow:
-
First we’ll update the maximum capacity:
-
Enter the maximum capacity for the chargers and click the “Next”.
-
-
Then update the Power Limits per Charger and Socket:
-
Specify the power limit for each of your chargers and their sockets.
-
Click Next after filling in each field.
-
-
Lastly review and Confirm:
-
Review the overview of all parameters entered, including total capacity, charger limits, and connector limits.
-
After carefully validating the details click the “Update” button to finalize the configuration change.
-
-
Step 4: SLB configuration is updated
-
Once you’ve clicked the “Update” button Maxem Energy Cloud will update the configuration of your assets and location for SLB. This will be done with the information filled-in in the edit flow.
-
A confirmation pop-up will appear letting you know that SLB is being re-configured in the background.
-
Once the configuration has succeeded in the background the contact (or technical contact) will receive an email to inform that SLB has been ordered and is now running. This can also be seen in the location services settings with the toggle being turned on.
Step 5: Static Load Balancing is running with the updated configuration
-
SLB is now running with the changed configuration, managing power distribution in real time based on the limits and settings you configured.
What happens if SLB Can’t be re-configured?
In rare cases Maxem Energy Cloud might be unable to automatically re-configure SLB. When this happens:
-
Maxem will send you an email that it was unable to re-configure SLB.
-
The Maxem team will reach out to assist with adjusting your configuration for SLB.
